General restrictions:
  • You must have been registered for at least 1 day before you can post messages or send NFC mail.
  • All new topics in the Nirvana forum must be approved by a moderator or administrator of the site.
  • You are not allowed to register if you are under the age of thirteen. Read more at www.coppa.org.

    1) Topics banned from the forums:

    - Topics about Kurt Cobain murder theories, debates about Cobain's drug habits, as well as all anti-Courtney Love ranting
    - Topics for users to post their photo. Instead, refer to the user gallery where NFC board users can upload their photo
    - Topics that recommend or encourage the use of illegal drugs (including marijuana) or excessive abuse of alcohol or other substances

    2) Any and all posts expressing slurs of racism, homophobia, Nazism, and/or other targeted hate against an individual or a group of people, are strictly prohibited from the forums and will be met with a warning for each instance. The repeated use of any racial, homophobic or otherwise offensive slurs such as "nigger" or "faggot", for the sole reason to upset or "shock" others, may be met with a two-week ban. Moreover, we restrict the use of "slang" slurs (e.g. "nigga") and offensive racial jokes.

    3) Do not 'flame' (the antagonism of another user) because they may be new to the website or made a mistake. In addition,
    do not point out rule violations that people have made in an insulting fashion; use the report function if you suspect a rule
    has been broken, or contact a forum moderator.

    4) Topics must be posted in the proper forums (more info). Do not post the same topic in more than one forum at a time.

    5) Do not post comments about closed or deleted threads or re-post an identical copy of a closed or deleted thread.
    In addition, do not post messages for or from a banned user. And do not ask for a banned user to be allowed back.

    6) Do not "bump" threads for no reason. I.e. do not post a reply to an old thread merely for the purpose of making
    the thread appear among the most recent topics. Only reply to an old thread if you have something new and substantive to add.

    7) The posting of any sexually explicit material (video or images), as well as offensive material (as deemed by the moderators),
    is prohibited from the board. However, the linking to images of topless women is allowed as long as the link is properly identified.

    Under "offensive material" falls: acts of violence, animal cruelty, criminal activity, or obscene comedy such as defecation or urination.

    8) Do not post links to sites that contain viruses, trojans or other malicious or disruptive content
    including attempts to hack or otherwise disrupt the NFC board and its associated services and users. Do not
    abuse the NFC mail system. This cannot under any circumstances be used for "spam" or other forms of junk mail -
    including, but not limited to, advertisements and similar unwanted mail. Similarly, do not collect e-mail
    addresses of NFC users for the purpose of transmitting to them unwanted and unsolicited e-mails or messages.

    9) Intentionally registering more than ONE username is NOT allowed. This includes, but is not limited to,
    registering a new username to avoid a ban. Using the board (for posting messages, sending NFC mail or otherwise)
    with more than one username is not allowed. In addition, do not use someone elses username, even if you were
    given the password to it by the owner of the username. Providing the password of your NFC board account to someone else is strictly prohibited.

    Impersonating a user on the board, i.e. by using a very similar username and profile info, is strictly prohibited.

    IMPORTANT: If you have a username but are unable to access it for whatever reason (new e-mail address, forgotten
    password, etc.) is it NOT an excuse to register a new username! If the lost password and lost username forms cannot
    help you, please e-mail the webmaster for assistance. MAKE SURE to include your username if you contact the webmaster.

    10) Do not post a topic if it is a question for a specific person using the forums, and do not treat the
    forums like a chat room    ...chatting back and forth with one or two people. Also, when you reply to a thread,
    stay on topic and make sure that any new topic you submit is a topic that can be discussed - as opposed to
    posting a topic about a common fact, or just expressing a statement without any grounds for discussing it further.

    This is a privately owned board and moderators are chosen to uphold the rules of this privately-owned discussion forum.
